Rosemary Simmonds

British author. I don't think she wrote any full-length pony novels, but did pen a number of books of collected short pony stories, which are actually pretty good. She also wrote for magazines, including Pony Magazine.

According to the blurb on one of her books she loves horses and is particularly interested in taking on difficult ponies. At the time the book was written (1989) she was living in North Yorkshire and owned a mischievous Welsh Arab cross whose  antics have provided inspiration for many of her stories.
